Pennoyer Welcomes New Staff for the 2019-20 School Year

Pennoyer welcomes new staff for the 2019-20 school year!

Mrs. Monica Kula will be Pennoyer’s new Polish EL teacher for the 2019-2020 school year.  Mrs. Kula is fluent in both Polish and Spanish and comes to us with 18 years teaching experience in Elmwood Park.   Mrs. Kula received her Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Secondary Education from Loyola University and her Masters degree in School Counseling from Northeastern University.    We are excited for Monica to join the Pennoyer family.  Welcome Monica! 

Ms. Emily Sarsok will be joining Pennoyer for the 2019-2020 school year as our full time social worker.  She received both her Bachelors and Masters degree in Social Work from Loyola University.   Ms. Sarsok is also a 2nd Lieutenant in the 708th Medical Company of the Illinois Army National Guard.   Emily completed her social work internship in Evanston as well as served as a Refugee Services Intern in Rome, Italy.  We are excited to welcome Emily to Pennoyer.

Ms. Denise Theander will be joining Pennoyer for the 2019-2020 school year as a full time special education teacher.  She received her Bachelor degree from North Park University as well as her Business Communications Degree from Stockholm University in Sweden.   Ms. Theander comes to us from Northbrook where she has been working as a special education instructional assistant.  Welcome Denise!
