Pennoyer welcomes new staff for the 2019-20 school year!
Mrs. Monica Kula will be Pennoyer’s new Polish EL teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. Mrs. Kula is fluent in both Polish and Spanish and comes to us with 18 years teaching experience in Elmwood Park. Mrs. Kula received her Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Secondary Education from Loyola University and her Masters degree in School Counseling from Northeastern University. We are excited for Monica to join the Pennoyer family. Welcome Monica!
Ms. Annalisa Nardulli will be Pennoyer’s new speech pathologist for the 2019-2020 school year. Ms. Nardulli received both her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Elmhurst College in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Ms. Nardulli is a graduate of Ridgewood High School and Pennoyer. We welcome Annalisa to Pennoyer.
Mrs. Rachel Slawson will be Pennoyer’s new social worker for the 19-20 school year. Rachel has 11 years experience as a school social worker and comes to us from Community Unit School District 300. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Saint Joseph College and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Loyola University. While in district 300 Rachel served on the district’s RTI Collaborative Council, PBIS and School Improvement Teams. Welcome Rachel!
Ms. Denise Theander will be joining Pennoyer for the 2019-2020 school year as a full time special education teacher. She received her Bachelor degree from North Park University as well as her Business Communications Degree from Stockholm University in Sweden. Ms. Theander comes to us from Northbrook where she has been working as a special education instructional assistant. Welcome Denise!
Mr. Justin Widd will be joining Pennoyer for the 2019-2020 school year as a full time 2nd grade teacher. Mr. Widd received his BA in elementary education from Bradley University. He has worked as a paraprofessional here at Pennoyer for the last 2 years and prior to Pennoyer was in District 81 for a year. We are extremely excited that Justin will be joining us in a different capacity next year and want to welcome him to his new role
