Pennoyer 7th Grade Students Traveled Back to the Mid-19th Century

Pennoyer 7th grade students traveled back to the mid-19th century with a tour of our state capital, Springfield, Illinois.

On this day-long trip they visited Lincoln’s home, the Old State Capitol, Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum and Lincoln’s Tomb. Students also met with our Representative Michael Mcauliffe and Senator John Mulroe at the new State Capitol building. They will also visit the World War II Memorial, Korean War Memorial, and the Vietnam War Memorial.
