Standard(s)

SC.8.6.1 Describe how genes control types of proteins produced and that those proteins express traits. MS-LS3-1
SC.8.6.2 Use simulation to show passing of traits and how mutations can occur. MS-LS3-1
SC.8.6.3 Model mutations in DNA. Amino Acids carry and connect in a specific way. MS-LS3-1
SC.8.6.4 Modeling mutation to determine whether it is beneficial, harmful, or neutral. MS-LS3-1
SC.8.6.5 Write a scientific explanation describing how a mutation can occur and what it may look like in the human body. MS-LS3-1
