Kindergarten

Course Purpose:

Kindergarten students will ask and answer questions to determine cause and effect relationships.

Outcome #

Outcome

SC.K.1 Students will make observations to describe how different objects move and evaluate the effects of different strengths and directions of pushes and pulls. Students will design a solution to change the effects of pushes and pulls.
SC.K.2 Students will use observations about sunlight to explain the effect of sunlight on Earth’s surface and verify the relationship of sunlight, temperature, and the needs of plants and animals. Students will construct and evaluate structures that directly impact the effect of sunlight on an area.
SC.K.3 Students will characterize patterns and variations in weather. Students will relate the purpose of predicting the weather to different types of weather, including severe weather and communicate solutions that will reduce the impact of outside influences on the environment.
