Standard(s)

M.6.9.1   Define and identify statistical questions, and non-statistical questions, and note that a statistical question anticipates variability. 6.SP.A.1
M.6.9.2   Calculate mean, median, and mode, recognize them as measures of center, and that range describes how data values vary.

6.SP.A.3

6.SP.B.5c

M.6.9.3   Construct dot plots, box plots, and histograms to display numerical data and analyze a data distribution by its center, spread, and overall shape.

6.SP.A.2

6.SP.B.4

6.SP.B.5a

6.SP.B.5b

    M.6.9.4

Compute the measures of variability (range, interquartile range, and mean absolute deviation) of a given data set and explain what each means.

6.SP.B.5b

6.SP.B.5c

    M.6.9.5

Determine an appropriate measure of center and measure of variability using the shape and/or context of the data.

6.SP.B.5c

6.SP.B.5d
