    M.8.5.1

Create a scatter plot.

8.SP.A.1

    M.8.5.2

Describe patterns in scatter plots such as clustering, outliers, positive or negative associations and linear or nonlinear associations.

8.SP.A.1

    M.8.5.3

Sketch a line of best fit through a scatter plot that suggests a linear association by judging the closeness of the data points to the line.

8.SP.A.2

    M.8.5.4

Interpret the slope and intercept of the equation for the line of best fit in real world contexts.

8.SP.A.3

    M.8.5.5

Create a two-way table summarizing data on two given categorical variables collected from the same subjects.

8.SP.A.4

    M.8.5.6

Interpret possible associations between two variables using relative frequencies that are calculated for rows, columns, or total.
